Winter wonderland...here we are in our little snow white world today. I love living in a place where it gets cold, but only long enough to really enjoy it. We took advantage of every minute of it that is for sure. They are predicting snow for next Thursday, a snow day for mama? wish............................xo

The Little Things

Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things...

A partridge in a pear tree...really! so we begin the winter break (hooray) and I open my window to see the day...in the tree outside our bedroom window is literally a partridge in OUR pear tree! The amazing part was that a few weeks earlier, I had picked up a vintage painting from christmas 1968 of a bird in a pear tree at goodwill. I hung it in my bathroom because for whatever reason, it speaks to me. So imagine my surprise when our pear tree became the home of our very own partridges. :) Anyhow...we have spent the last two weeks waiting for the last two pears to drop, nestled underneith our electric blanket throw (pure luxury), singing frosty the snowman and yes...on the twelvth day of christmas too..xo

Happy, happy new year to all who see this note and to all of those who may not. The new year is the greatest thing. I love the feeling of a new beginning...a clean canvas....what will this year bring?

Meanwhile, I am humbled by what I already have and the life I get to live each day...it is full of treasure and delight and big love. Who could ask for more?
